The order of names in Contacts app

I attempt to perceive how the contacts are sorted within the Contacts app. I exploit Contacts on Mac and I haven’t got iPhone, however I believe there must be no distinction. I am Russian (sorry in regards to the conflict, I do not assist president Putin) and subsequently the contacts are named in Russian. The order of letters within the Russian alphabet is the next:

Аа Дд Ии Мм Нн Тт Яя

And the contacts themselves (that are sorted by final names at the moment) are listed within the following order:

Илья first title solely
Никита first title solely
Тимофей first title solely
Ярослав first title solely
Дмитрий А... first and final names
Александр first title solely
Михаил Д... first and final names

This does not make sense to me.

What I’ve anticipated as a substitute is both:

Александр
Илья
Никита
Тимофей
Ярослав
Дмитрий А...
Михаил Д...

(fist all of the contacts with first title solely,
then all of the contacts with each first and final names)

or possibly

Александр
Дмитрий А...
Михаил Д...
Илья
Никита
Тимофей
Ярослав

(if solely the primary title is specified, the contact is listed
by the primary letter of the primary title;
in any other case, the primary letter of the final title is used)

So what’s going on?

Edit: And right here is how the names are listed in English. Identical problem.

Ilya
Nikita
Timofey
Yaroslav
Dmitriy A...
Aleksandr
Mikhail D...
