Artist Refuses Prize After His AI Picture Wins at High Photograph Contest



An nameless reader shares a report: A photographer has stirred up recent controversy and debate after his synthetic intelligence (AI) picture gained first prize at one of many world’s most prestigious images competitions. He has since declined to simply accept the prize whereas the competition has remained silent on the matter. Berlin-based “photomedia artist” Boris Eldagsen participated this 12 months within the World Pictures Group’s Sony World Pictures Awards, a number one picture contest that gives prizes that embody $5,000 money, Sony digicam gear, a visit to London for the awards ceremony, and/or worldwide publicity by means of a e-book and exhibition. Eldagsen submitted a picture titled THE ELECTRICIAN to the Artistic class of the 2023 Open competitors. It image seems to be a portrait of two ladies captured with a photographic course of from the early days of images.
