As Google seems to keep up tempo in AI with the remainder of the tech giants, it is consolidating its AI analysis divisions. From a report: Google right now introduced Google DeepMind, a brand new unit made up of the DeepMind crew and the Google Mind crew from Google Analysis. In a weblog publish, DeepMind co-founder and CEO Demis Hassabis stated that Google DeepMind will work “in shut collaboration … throughout the Google product areas” to “ship AI analysis and merchandise.” As part of Google DeepMind’s formation, Google says it’s going to create a brand new scientific board to supervise analysis progress and route of the unit, which will likely be led by Koray Kavukcuoglu, the VP of analysis at DeepMind. Eli Collins, VP of product at Google Analysis, will be part of Google DeepMind as VP of product, whereas Google Mind lead Zoubin Ghahramani will develop into a member of the analysis management crew, reporting to Kavukcuoglu.
