PlayStation has agreed to purchase Firewalk Studios, the AAA multiplayer developer that’s engaged on a dwell service recreation for PS5 and PC. From a report: If the title sounds acquainted, it is as a result of Sony had already introduced it will be publishing Firewalk’s first recreation again in April 2021. It’s the third devoted live-service recreation studio that PlayStation has acquired during the last 18 months, alongside Bungie and Haven Studios. Firewalk was set-up in 2018 as a part of ProbablyMonsters (a collective of AAA recreation builders). It was shaped by various Bungie veterans, together with studio head Tony Hsu (beforehand common supervisor and senior vice chairman of Future at Activision) and recreation director Ryan Ellis (beforehand inventive director at Bungie). It now boasts virtually 150 staff. Firewalk is the twentieth developer to hitch PlayStation Studios.
