Archaeologists have found the stays of an 1,800-year-old vineyard on the Villa of the Quintilii exterior of Rome. By the group’s measure, the vineyard was designed as a lot for the spectacle of wine-making because the follow itself.
Embellished rooms across the vineyard seem to have hosted friends who would observe the wine-making course of, the researchers discovered, and the finishes (together with marble flooring) appear put in for appearances over practicality. The group’s analysis is revealed in Antiquity.
