I examine the /and many others/shells and the newly put in bash path is within the listing:

...
/bin/zsh
/decide/homebrew/Cellar/bash/5.2.15/bin/bash

Once I tried working dscl . -read ~/ UserShell it reveals the newly put in bash.

I already restarted the Terminal and my mac however to no avail.

I additionally tried altering the Shells open with: in Terminal settings to Default login shell and Command (full path) however each nonetheless present the 3.2.57 model
