SMB folder will not join after Monterey improve

PROBLEM…

  • After upgrading to Monterey from Huge Sur, my 2019 Intel Macbook Professional will not hook up with an SMB share on my FujiXerox RIP (FXServer).
  • Nothing else has modified since working Huge Sur on the identical Macbook
    Professional. This Macbook is linked by way of ethernet over a thunderbolt dock which has labored wonderful for years.
  • A 2013 Macbook Professional working Mojave on the identical community has no points. It is linked by way of an Apple TB 2 Ethernet adapter.
  • I normally join by hitting CMD + Ok, double-clicking the share (smb://fxserver/SCAN) and /SCAN would mount with no login and so on

HAVE TRIED…

Steps from this submit: https://boards.macrumors.com/threads/smb-broken-with-monterey.2324371/post-30668058

1

As famous above I added a nsmb.conf file to /and so on containing the next…

[default]
protocol_vers_map=6

Then restarted however it retains asking me for login credentials and failing (visitor would not work both). That is only a scan folder from our FujiXerox RIP that requires no login. That is how the opposite Macbook Professional connects as effectively.

2

In order famous within the submit above, I attempted including signing_required=no to the conf file like this…

[default]
protocol_vers_map=6
signing_required=no

And restarted however nonetheless no pleasure.

3

I then tried including port445=no_netbios as famous right here: https://assist.apple.com/en-us/HT211927

[default]
protocol_vers_map=6
signing_required=no
port445=no_netbios

However that would not even try to attach so I eliminated it.

This articles suggests checking the SMB model: https://lemp.io/how-to-check-smb-version-mac-os/

However after I run the command from the article, it would not appear to exist…

defaults learn /Library/Preferences/com.apple.smb.server SupportedProtocols
2023-02-17 16:05:16.412 defaults[2258:18483]
The area/default pair of (/Library/Preferences/com.apple.smb.server, SupportedProtocols) doesn't exist

This submit urged including .native to the tackle: https://boards.macrumors.com/threads/update-resolved-brand-new-m1-macbook-pro-does-not-see-any-other-macs-or-network-drives-can-anyone-assist.2334034/post-30840040

However this did not work: smb://fxserver.native/SCAN

6

This submit suggests a ktext is the offender: Mac mini cannot hook up with my company SMB server. Was working some days in the past

However I do not appear to have it put in except I am studying this improper.

kextstat | grep -iv apple
Executing: /usr/bin/kmutil showloaded
No variant specified, falling again to launch
Index Refs Tackle Dimension Wired Title (Model) UUID <Linked Towards>

QUESTIONS…

1

As a result of no SMB supported protocols exist, does that imply that SMB is in some way not put in?

2

It is a clear erase and improve to Monterey that is a couple of week outdated, do I have to allow SMB in some way?

OTHER…

  • Sorry, I am not educated about SMB in any respect. This has labored
    routinely for years with out issues.
  • Nothing else with the community, printer, share, router has modified.
  • The opposite Macbook Professional working Mojave has no points and earlier than the
    improve from Huge Sur, this Macbook had no points both.
  • I would beforehand hit CMD + Ok, double-click the share at
    smb://fxserver/SCAN and the SCAN share would mount – no login
    and so on.

Sorry if I am lacking one thing primary, any assist or options a lot appreciated.
